ESP-i Energy Saving Products

Background

Energy Saving Products International Pty Ltd (ESP-i) is a part of the “Sunshine Global Group”. Sunshine Global was first registered in 1995 with Mr. Jack Qin as the Managing Director, a position he still holds. He is passionate about the environment and the condition we leave it in for future generations. ESP-i is a 100% Australian owned business.

ESP-i Energy Efficient Products

It soon became evident that the existing premises were too small, so in May 2009, ESP-i moved into new environmentally friendly premises in Meadowbrook, Brisbane. It consists of approx. 6,000 sq.m of warehouse and offices. It was officially opened by the Queensland Minister for Energy at the time, the Hon. Stephen Robinson.

In line with Mr. Qin’s commitment to reduce the company’s carbon footprint, the facility features ESP-i’s  energy saving lighting products throughout, uses grey water for toilets and gardens and has a water filtration system ensuring all water running from the property is cleaned before entering the town water system.

Company Focus

ESP-i has been specifically set up and structured to manufacture and distribute energy efficient lighting products for the commercial and semi-industrial markets.

With lighting consuming approximately 20% of the world’s electrical usage, it is becoming increasingly important to invest in cleaner energy saving technologies.

ESP-i utilises factories with accreditation to ISO9001 that are encouraged where possible to embrace the use of recycled material and waste minimisation.

Manufacturer and Distributor of Energy Efficient Products

ESP-i focuses on the development of energy efficient lighting solutions using only T5 linear fluorescent, compact fluorescent and LED light sources. ESP-i do not market T8 linear or HID products.

Our designers concentrate on the development of high performance products in their product development. This also includes the use of energy efficient control equipment such as electronic ballasts (ESP-i do not promote the use of iron core ballasts) and control systems such as DSI/DALI dimming, etc.

Commitment

ESP-i is proud to be a member of the “Lighting Council”, the premiere lighting body in Australia. Membership was sought to ensure that we can be involved in the initiatives instigated by the group. One of the very important projects currently under way is “Fluorocycle”. This is a scheme that aims to increase the correct recycling of lamps containing Mercury. It is estimated that until now, 95% of lamps containing Mercury end up as land-fill. The scheme encourages the education of our clients to follow the best recycling practises to reduce this figure.
